Sadly John Sweeney has passed away. John was the Treasurer of Borthwick Scout Campsite.

Previously John has held the roles of Midlothian Area Treasurer, Inveresk District Treasurer, Group Scout Leader -16^th Midlothian (St Nicholas) and Scout Leader - 16^th Midlothian (St Nicholas).

John had given 36 years of service to Scouting and Gained the Medal of Merit and the Bar to the Medal of Merit.

The funeral will be held at Newton Parish Church, Newton Church Road, Newton on Friday 19^th August at 10.45am.
