Important - Nights Away Permits / Notification

It is important to remember and follow the correct Nights Away procedures when your taking young people on Nights Away experiences.

  • The event must be run or overseen by an adult with a VALID Nights Away Permit. The Permit must be carried on you and you must have a permit entry on your record on mybackpack.
  • Notification must be made to district and approval given. (At least 7 Days for Scout sites, at least 14 days for Non Scout Sites).

To make life as simple as we can for this process, we have now introduced an online Permit application / renewal form, and also an online Nights Away Notification (NAN).
