How about taking your Older Cubs and Younger Scouts to an exciting Camp at Fordell Firs National Activity Centre, Dunfermline camping between 21st May – 23rd May 2010.

Open for Scottish Cubs and Scouts aged between 9.5 and 12 years (born between 23rd May 1998 and 21st November 2000). There will be the Opening Ceremony, through the many activities, Camp fire and closing Ceremony! It promises to be a camp to remember, a chance to meet many new friends.

The cost of the camp will be £35 per Cub or Scout, with a £15 charge for Leaders / Assistants.

The Camp Committee, are working on the programme and other details surrounding the camp and will continue to put up more information when it becomes available at www.fordellfastforward.org.uk. A couple of initial dates to note are
? Monday 30th November 2009 - Official booking forms go live on the website
? Monday 1st February 2010 - Deadline for Group/Pack or Troop Booking forms and deposits.
PLEASE NOTE: If the camp is oversubscribed, this date may be moved forward. Early application is strongly advised.

It is hoped Pack leaders and Troop Leaders within a group will cooperate and send a Group contingent. However, this does not exclude Packs or Troops attending on their own.

Fordell Fast Forward is a Camp designed so Older Cubs can find out more about Scouts. It is a result of the ADC Cub and Scout meeting at the SHQ/UKHQ Programme Support Workshop last February, where a strategy was formulated to reduce the high drop out rate between the Cub and Scout sections. Fordell Fast Forward is part of that strategy.
