Blair Atholl 2010 Selection Process Announced PDF Print E-mail

The 32nd Scottish International Patrol Jamborette will be held at Blair Castle, Blair Atholl, Perthshire, between the 19th and 30th July 2010.  This camp is open to any Scout and Explorer Scout between the ages of 13 and 18 on the first day of camp (born after 20th July 1992 and before 19th July 1997)  This event is the highlight of the Scottish Scouting Calendar and  sees patrols of 6 Scottish Scouts camping together with a patrol of overseas Scouts for the duration of the camp in one of the 6 Subcamps.

Midlothian District has been allocated 6 places for 2010.  Unfortunately there are usually a higher number of applicants than we have places for, for this reason we shall be holding a selection weekend in November (date to be confirmed) for any Scout wishing to attend.  The applicants will be selected on their inter-personal, Scouting and general skills.  Age and previous Scouting experience will not necessarily be taken into consideration, so for example being the youngest or oldest will not guarantee or hinder your selection, as will lots or little international Scouting experience.

THE CLOSING DATE IS Thursday 12th November 2009, full details and the application form are attached.
