300 Scouts from across Midlothian, joined a staggering 250,000 Scouts from across the United Kingdom, celebrating our Centenary at a Camp between 25th - 27th May 2007.

The camp took place in the stunning grounds of Carberry Tower, near Musselburgh. where We also held a visitors afternoon on the Saturday afternoon and welcomed back around 50 previous leaders. We were also visited by 5 Midlothian Councillors and HM Lord Lieutenant for Midlothian.

The camp was jammed packed with plenty of activities, from crate climbing to parachutes, climbing wall to a falcolnry display. There was something there for everyone.

The camp theme was Scouting - Past, Present and Future which culminated in the joining of all 150 Centenary camps by the lighting of the Centenary beacon at 8.30pm on the Saturday.

Richard Fairbairn, the Camp Leader said "It was really a wonderful event, made possible by the incredible hard work by a core of very dedicated people, who I'd like to thank."

"80% of Midlothian's membership attended the Centenary camp, with a staggering 98% of Midlothian members taking part in some form of Centenary camp in the last few weeks.
