Last Friday. Midlothian Area Scout Council unanimously backed plans to convert into Midlothian District Scout Council will effect from 1st April 2008. After approving a new constitution the leaders and executive from all over Midlothian had a great time talking and dancing (occasionally) to the disco. At one point, they were asked to put their creative heads on and see how far they could get a paper aeroplane to fly. We did recycle the many copies of the new District Constitution for this!!!!!! The Confirmed Midlothian District Team is: District Commissioner: Colin Harrison Assistant District Commissioner (Beaver Scouts): Jenny Harrison Assistant District Commissioner (Cub Scouts): Richard Fairbairn District Explorer Scout Commissioner: Mark Holdsworth District Chairman: Jeff Stoddart District Secretary: David Fairbairn District Treasurer: David McFarlane There are a number of postitions still to be appointed. We will get a revised District Directory out shortly. |
